Ramsey’s Financial Peace Univeristy
Coming to Saint John’s

Financial Peace University consists of a 13-week video curriculum taught by financial expert Dave Ramsey that incorporates small-group discussions to encourage accountability and discipleship. Most financial programs are boring, with confusing information and monotonous instructors. Financial Peace is very different! It is highly entertaining for everyone, with a unique combination of humor, informative financial advice, and biblical messages.

Please leave a message for Father Monk if you wish to participate.

Habitat for Humanity

Our next Habitat workday will be on Saturday April 4 beginning at 8:00 am.

Palm Sunday Crosses

We will make palm crosses on Saturday, April 4 at 10 am in the Parish Hall. Mark your calendars, and come join us.

“Could you not watch with me one hour?”

The Maundy Thursday Watch will be held following the 7 pm liturgy on April 9, and continue until 12 pm on Good Friday

Please see Lyn Ferguson to sign up for an hour to watch with our Lord in the Garden.

2009 Lenten Series

“How to Communicate in Difficult Times”

This series, written by the Reverend Doctor Darryl Starnes, looks at the process of interpersonal communication,  from a Bible perspective, and challenges us to be more Christ-like in our communications.

Most of us, at one time or another in our lives, have found ourselves at an impasse with another because we did not effectively communicate our true feelings with our words and body language.

Join us on March 3, 10, 24, and 31 as we delve into this subject together.

The schedule for our Lenten Tuesdays is:

 5:00 pm: Choir Rehearsal

6:00 pm: Evening Prayer

6:30 pm: Dinner

7:00 pm: Program

7:40 pm: Compline and Dismissal

Childcare is provided for those 4 and under, and there will be a children’s program for the youth of the parish.

 Holy Week

Holy Week this year begins on April 5 with Palm Sunday, and continues with Maundy Thursday on April 9, Good Friday on April 10, and the Great Vigil of Easter on April 11.

 Children’s Choir for Easter

Begin today following the 10:15 liturgy.
